Free Recycled Architectural Paint from Recology

See the Buy Green Guide for Paints, Primers, Coatings and Related Cleaners for the City's environmental purchasing criteria for architectural paints, as well as lists of specific products available from City vendors.  Purchasing criteria for Interior Latex Wall and Ceiling Paints & Primers are currently "Required," while criteria for other paint categories are "Suggested."

When to Use

Recycled paint has a higher solids content than many new paints.  Because the paints have been stored in people's garages for a long time, some of the water has evaporated, making it thicker.  Higher solids content means better coverage.
